1. by car

Coming from Darmstadt:

Turn off the A67 motorway onto the A60 towards Mainz. Take the Mainz-Innenstadt exit and follow for the city centre.

Coming from Frankfurt:

Turn off the A3 motorway at the Mönchhofdreieck junction onto the A67. At the motorway junction Rüsselsheimer Dreieck turn onto the A60 and take the Mainz-Innenstadt exit towards the city centre

or alternatively

On the A66 motorway take the Wiesbaden-Mainzer Straße exit and follow for Mainz-Kastel. At Mainz-Kastel turn onto the B455 towards Mainz, entering the city via the Theoder-Heuss-Brücke across the Rhine.

Coming from Cologne:

Turn off the A3 motorway at the Wiesbadener Kreuz junction onto the A66 and follow for Wiesbaden. Turn off the A66 at Wiesbaden-Mainzer Straße and follow for Mainz-Kastel. At Mainz-Kastel turn onto the B455 towards Mainz, entering the city via the Theoder-Heuss-Brücke across the Rhine

or alternatively

Turn off the A61 motorway at the Dreieck Nahetal junction onto the A60, following for Mainz. Turn off the A60 at Mainz-Finthen and follow for Mainz-Innenstadt (city centre).

Coming from Kaiserslautern:Stay on the A63 motorway until you reach the city centre (Mainz-Innenstadt).

There are plenty of well-signposted car parks in the city centre ("Brand" & "Rahthaus"). The Gutenberg Museum can be easily reached on foot from any of them.

2. Public means of transport
